Bananna Nutella Pancakes
I have been eating Indian food until my heart is content for the past few weeks. I have eaten enough naan (Indian bread cooked on the inside of a clay oven) and rice that is should be coming out of my ears! Lots on matar paneer (peas and Indian pressed cheese in a masala, tomato based sauce), yellow dal fry (lentils in a yellow broth), channa paneer (chickpeas and Indian pressed cheese in a masala, tomato based sauce). We are also eating Kati rolls, an Indian roll that consists of and egg cooked on a flaky pancake type bread that is filled with onions and am Indian spiced hot sauce (Quite hot if you do not tell them to hold the extra hot peppers!) For a change of pace we occasionally eat breakfast for dinner. I am a fan of the tomato cheese omelets, fresh mangoes with curd (homemade Greek yogurt) and honey. The biggest treat are the banana nutella pancakes, much more of a desert than a true breakfast. It definitely works to satisfy my sweet tooth, since you are not able to find the typical sweet that we get at home. We have sworn off talking about the food that we can not have because it makes you crazy, no hamburger and ice cream talk here!
